陶卫华，女，生于江西莲花，江西省民间艺术家,江西省刺绣文化产业协会副会长，江西省工艺美术学会会员，江西省工艺美术协会会员，南昌市赣绣技能大师领办人，南昌市首批传统技艺大师,南昌市“首屇洪城工匠”，“江南绣业”创始人之一，“线像莲花”创始人之一，是赣绣的领军人物。自幼喜好书画，受家庭熏陶从小开始描红刺绣。因不甘家族绝活失传，毅然重拾刺绣衣钵。而当时赣绣不在“四大名绣”之列，很多时候都不被人看好，为了改变这种状况,不仅努力提高绣技，还在传统基础上推陈出新，几度遍访名家学习绘画，把画理与刺绣相结合，逐渐使自己的刺绣技艺有了质的飞跃，近几年又新创了“双面摄影绣”“飞白绣”“打子泼墨绣”等技法。
Tao Weihua, a lady came from Lianhua county of Jiangxi province and now is renowned as a folk artist and the master of Gan Embroidery. As the originator of embroidery studios named Jiangnan Xiuye and Xian Xiang Lianhua, she is the deputy director of Jiangxi Embroidery Culture Association, the member of Jiangxi Arts and Crafts Society and reputed as “ Hongcheng Artisan ”. Tao has been fascinated with the art and painting since childhood and has mastered the embroidery techniques under family nurturing. Gan Embroidery is a folk art of long history but has long been under-estimated and excluded from the “ 4 Top Embroideries” of China. To improve the status of Gan Embroidery, Tao visited the great masters of embroidery and painting to learn techniques from them and combined both arts together to create new embroidery techniques such as “ double-face photography embroidery ”, “ flying white embroidery “ and “ Dazi ink painting embroidery”
